BOOKS READ 30: AFTER DARK BY HARUKI MURAKAMI
Overwhelming and underwhelming.
I find that I read Murakami books as a way of recalibrating my mind, of being able to transition from one really different novel to another. Part of it is because he has so many books, but another part is that my mind can just take on this quiet, easy hum but still be totally engaged when reading his books.
I love this cover. It reminds me of wind rushing over my face, of being overhwhelmed, overcome, waves washing over me, everything coming over me.
