To be moored means: to be fixed securely/firmly to something else. I didn’t know what it meant and maybe you didn’t either! Well I sort of did. I know the other definition of Moor thanks to grade 12 English and reading Othello. (Moor=old term for black person). Speaking of Shakespeare and high school English, apparently BC recently eliminated the grammar portion of grade 12 final exams, which includes Shakespeare? I am not insane over Shakespeare, but I do think there is a need to be exposed to it, at least a bit, it’s a big part of the English language, and if anything, erm, makes you feel kind of smart, educated, which is always a good feeling.
